Join the GSU chapter of SUAA today!

19 Mar

Participation and membership in the State Universities Annuitants Association is open to all GSU employees and all our retirees who are interested in safeguarding our pension benefits. At one time, only persons over 55 could join. However, now participation is open to all who are building their retirement future in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS).

Linked below is a downloadable membership form to join GSU-SUAA. Payroll deduction for current employees and retirees is available. On campus? You can simply complete the form and submit to Kathy Miller FOC-G336.

I am a member of GSU SUAA. I have filed an appeal with the SURS regarding my retirement (although I have yet to retire). It has to do with my choice of retirement plans. They have scheduled a hearing for January. Does SUAA offer any kind of support? I am a little nervous going to this hearing on my own since SURS will be “armed.”

The central office number is 888-547-8473. Also if you have prepared soemthing already you might want to raise the question with Dick Johnson. His e-mail is
