Farewell to Dr Cyrus Ellis

Longtime GSU faculty member — and more importantly a longtime friend and advocate for GSU, its faculty, staff, and students, and all of Illinois higher education — Dr Cyrus Ellis passed away on Tuesday, June 20. He’ll certainly be missed. GSU SUAA offers heartfelt condolences to all of Cyrus’ family and friends, students and colleagues, and all who will miss him so much.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 28, at 11 a.m., at New Hope Christian Community Church, 4700 West Court Street, Monee, IL 60449. There will be a repast in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.

For those who wish to make a memorial donation in honor of Dr. Ellis, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
